Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the SomeBuddy mobile application and related services operated by Monovi ("we"). By creating an account or using SomeBuddy, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use SomeBuddy. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with local laws.

2. The service

SomeBuddy provides fictional AI characters for chat and optional generated images. Characters are not real people. Replies are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate despite safeguards. Do not rely on SomeBuddy for medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.

3. Your account

• Keep your login credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Provide accurate registration information.
• You may delete your account in-app (see Account Deletion).

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use SomeBuddy if you are under 18
• Request or distribute illegal content, including child sexual material, non-consensual imagery, or extreme violence
• Harass, threaten, or impersonate real individuals without consent
• Attempt to bypass safety filters or abuse the image or chat systems
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload our infrastructure
• Use the service for spam or unauthorized commercial solicitation

5. User content

You retain rights to prompts and messages you submit. You grant us a license to host, process, and transmit that content to provide the service (including AI processing). You represent that your content does not violate these Terms or third-party rights.

6. Credits and in-app purchases

• Some features consume credits (e.g. chat images, extra characters).
• Purchases are processed by Apple or Google under their payment terms.
• Credits are virtual, non-transferable, and have no cash value except where refund law applies.
• Refund requests follow Apple App Store or Google Play policies.

7. AI-generated content

Images and text are generated automatically. We do not guarantee uniqueness, quality, or fitness for a particular purpose. Generated characters must not be presented as real people or official advice.

8. Intellectual property

SomeBuddy, its branding, and software are owned by Monovi. You may not copy or misuse our trademarks except as allowed by app stores or written permission.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms or to protect users and the service. You may stop using SomeBuddy at any time and delete your account.

10. Disclaimers

SomeBuddy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Monovi is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or USD $50 if greater minimums apply under local law.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
